Acne Diagnosis
The Diagnosis is based on the history and physical examination of patients to find out the causes of the problem
The Diagnosis is usually based on the history and physical examination of patients. A dermatologist, in most cases, check the patient thoroughly and questions like diet, medications taken in the recent past, skin problems suffered and the terms consorted with acne are common during the examination.
It will not be an unmanageable job for one to find out because of the appearance of acne is apparent; although the examination is done to find out the causes and the solution for that. Acne normally occurs in the neck, shoulder, face, upper back and upper arms.
Dermatologists also evaluate the comedones present in the skin, redness, amount of inflammation, severity of acne and the areas affected on the body and how long it is spread. Based on this, they classify it sometimes into grades. Usually, the mildest form of acne where there is no inflammation and only some minor pimples and blackheads would be classified as grade I.
According to the severity and widespread it will be classified differently. Sometimes blood tests are done to verify or analyze the presence of acne and other similar diseases.
